Le groupe de musique industrielle Nine Inch Nails (http://www.nin.com) vient de rendre disponible le matériel brut des tournages de trois de ses spectacles entiers  à fin de laisser n'importe qui les monter et se créer son propre DVD/Blu-ray etc...

On parle ici de plus de 400GB de matériel HD tourné sur 5 à 7 caméras par spectacle!

Le matériel est présentement disponible sur tous les bons sites BitTorrent alors si vous avez une ordi rapide avec une connection internet rapide et que vous avez toujours voulu monter un gros show rock, voici votre chance!


NB - En passant, le matériel a été numériser en format HDV avec le codec de Quicktime et il semblerait que ce dernier ne peut être lu que sur un ordinateur MacIntosh. Alors si vous voulez monter ces images sur un ordi Window, il vous faudra préalablement les convertir en un format alternatif.

Included in this release is roughly 9 hours of HD video footage filmed with five cameras during the Sacramento, CA 12.12.08 NIN show. It has not been edited or color-corrected - we hope fellow fans will get creative with it.

The files are in Quicktime HDV format.  Ensure that your playback or editing software supports HDV, or you may have issues viewing the footage.

The footage has been prepared for easy use with video editing software.  Each camera angle has the same start point, and each camera angle is divided into several pieces, which attach consecutively.  If you are using Final Cut Pro, the included sequence has been prepared with all the camera angles in sync, ready for editing.  If you're using other editing software, simply make a video track for each camera angle, and make sure the first clip of every camera starts at the exact same point.  All the camera angles will be in sync with each other, allowing for easy editing.  The audio is the same on all cameras, so you only need to save one of the embedded audio tracks to edit with.  Many of the video files will have gaps of black in them during lapses in footage.  The black space was preserved so all the clips would remain in sync.
